Commemorating the first AIDS diagnosis, thirty years later

This Sunday the Desert AIDS Project in Palm Springs will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first AIDS diagnosis. A giant red AIDS ribbon will stand outside the front entrance of the Desert AIDS Project building at the corner of Vista Chino and Sunrise Way in Palm Springs. At the 10:30am ceremony, several DAP clients will share their personal stories regarding their history with HIV/AIDS over the past thirty years. State Assembly member Manuel Perez and CEO of the Desert AIDS Project, David Brinkman, will speak of the state of the epidemic. More ›
